Gummy Bear and My kids - Lord help me...

I wrote a post a day or two ago about making sure my kids watch intelligent stuff and the challenge I face with them watching what I call ‘dumb programming”. I also wrote about how as parents we have to be diligent protecting our kids from “improper things” on the internet.

funny picturesI was watching TV in the living room and as usual I decided to sneak up on my kids and take a look at what they were doing online. Normally my daughter gets online to play on kid friendly social sites like Penguin. But what really caught my ear was the singing - especially the catchy toon I heard coming from my computer.

Like I said - I wish my kids would watch only intelligent programming - but sometimes I even get caught up with some of these catchy silly videos. I’m not happy she was on Youtube but relieved to find her watching this silly Gummy bear video [ it’s had 10,405,136 views ] That didn't stop me from giving her the parential speech....

Thank God I still have a part of me still a kid I love the crazy frog and speciall the silly gummy bear I even dance to the tune and yes we do have to watch our kids alot,I have to give myself the parential speech talk.

Walt Disney world - Magic Kingdom Quietly planning my next family outing - shhss don’t tell the family. I’ve been working long hours and many nights - so I figure I have to plan special moments in greater detail than just letting them happen. You know how it goes you put something off till the week end and bang something always comes up. Besides - if I plan it right maybe I can control the cost better [ you save for it rather than have an expensive spur of the moment thing]. I’m thinking Walt Disney World. One night stay at a hotel and take advantage of the one get second free [ if they have it ]... I know my whole family loves fire works and Walt Disney knows how to give a impressive fire works display. STUCK ! on Bush Gardens ride

STUCK in Bush Gardens Ride That’s right - stuck in a Bush Gardens ride. Serves them right. Yes even though it makes for a great post - I’m upset that I was stuck at work while my son & wife went off to play at Bush Gardens. I would like to thank “Miss Eli” for the free tickets and for my Brother-in-law for taking them. But man, I missed all the fun. I hear my son had a grand old time and he even got to ride in front with the conductor on a ride [ of course that’s the ride that got stuck ]. Luckily we have video ladies and gents…. Below here are some pic’s of the short Family vacation. Although the tickets were free I still had to shell out some cash for the family to eat, buy trinkets and have fun. Man, some one in my family should say thank you. ^%*$#@!!!! I had to work all day.
