What you think does matter

Always do more than planned It doesn't matter how much there is to do at the hotel - Coco Keys is great and all with it's two water parks being right there but it closes at 7pm and then what? And considering how much money I spent in the large arcade room - I needed to do something more. So, I started planning in hopes of getting ahead of the wife and kids coming up with some crazy idea to go somewhere and spend an outrageous amount of money on something silly. Yes, like visiting the next door Titanic Museum ?? Yep, thats what they wanted to do - "it only cost $100 for just the 4 of us Dad"????? So you know I had to be prepared for the "What do we do now Dad?" So I decided to take the kids to a big Movie theater.. not like home. An Imax theater to be exact and try to have some fun. How was Christmas... Good, I had fun - the kids had fun and they loved the presents. But I have to say I think they were trying to kill me. No, really! My daughter got this cool game called "Just Dance 2". She has been ranting and raving about it for a very long time now. It is one of those things you say - I hope no one else gets her this because she is going to love it. which by the way she did...... Oh boy did she ever.... But boy did I have a surprise. But what I did not expect was the heart attack just waiting to happen when we started playing this game. My goodness - I am an avid video game player and when I play I get all into it. Just watch me play tennis on the Wii... you better give me room because I swing my arms like if I was really on the court and swinging a real racket. The Pack mentality of Five sleep over Girls Ok, summer is almost here. It’s bad enough I’m torn up inside because my little girls is going away for the summer. She’s spending it in NY with the Aunt and Grandparents. It’s sort of the last chance she has to experience the Big city [ you know where Mom and Dad grew up]. It may be the last summer she’ll be able to go since Granddad is retiring and moving to Florida. So what does my wife agree to - one last opportunity for my daughter and four of her friends to have a big blow out slumber party- great…. First - I don’t want to share my daughters last weekend with others [ especially four screaming girls ]. Second - How am I going to escape the giggling, screaming, wacky antics of five pre-teen girls running around my house. What do 5 five girls do alone in the dark? Oh God help us all... What do five girls do when left alone to their own devices…. I’ve learn so much about my daughter and her friends in one short conversation than I’ve learned in the last three weeks. It’s surprising how girls act a lot like boys. They seem to lose all petite self-conscious control and act like slobs, eat like rabid animals and do not find it odd to be talking about things I [ a man ] do not want to hear about. 5 girls one Boy - what a perfect Storm ! My son had a blast this week end. He was the only boy in the mist of FIVE pretty girls - all screaming and laughing and running around in their pajamas!!!!! Ofcourse my son is only five so he just enjoyed the attention from all the girls and has no clue to what a peculiar situation he is in. Yet that didn’t stop him from acting like a little five year old - because my son is “Sponge Bob” a nick name the girls dubbed him - because he soaks up all the information [ gossip ] being told by the giddy girls hopped up on candy and he shares it with everyone. Like the fact that a boy ask my daughter out ?? Or that Jonesha likes a boy called Jeffery !
