That's right you heard me "FUN FOOD". I work very hard at keeping my low cholesterol diet and I have to reward myself on the week ends. You just don't understand - I care about my health - I do. But come on, my wife has high sodium issues and everything we eat is, well... I'll say it.. BLAH! So every week-end when possible I reward myself with a FUN FOOD treat [ meal ].

Not a Online Cooking Class
Before you get ahead of me this is not a online cooking class, or a chef cooking class, heck - I barely get by as a cook myself. I am just posting here in my blog some of the tasty meals [ recipes ] I have tried and would like [ plan to ] try.

Forget my Doctor - A man needs a hamberger filled with cheese and wrapped in beacon every once in a while... you know what I mean. Like I said - this is not an online cooking class, I am the last person you want to take cooking lesson from. But since I have tried and some what successfully made a home pizza [ don't remember if I wrote a blog about that experiment ] and I have done some delish meat [ I am a carnavour ] I figure I will do more.

Not a online cooking class: Beacon BLT Burgers
Amp up simple burgers with bacon and a ketchup-mayonnaise-mustard sauce. The bacon, wrapped around the burger, cooks with it while on the grill, so there's little prep. AHhh... beacon, got to love it.

Not a online cooking class: Barbecued Pork Ribs
These pork ribs are rubbed with a blend of earthy spices and brushed with a slowly simmered sauce that has a slight kick. They come off the grill tender yet pleasingly chewy, with just the right hit of smoky goodness.

Not a online cooking class: Ribs Supreme
Only 15 minutes of grilling time! The trick: Steam the ribs for an hour in the oven up to 2 days before barbecuing. I believe there is an added secret recipe for barbeque suace.... finger licking good..

Not a online cooking class: Sweet and Spicy Smoked Ribs
Because these ribs are smoked for five hours, they're perfect for afternoon kickoffs. Tailgating pros Mike and Tammy Herchel recommend marinating the meat overnight and getting the grill going first thing in the morning. Recipe courtesy of Tammy Herchel.


Reminder: this is not a online cooking class - I am not here to teach you how to cook. This is just me sharing some of these deliciouse recipes I found online that I have tried to make, or plan to make on a well deserve week-end. I am no cook, but I love to eat [ don't tell my doctor he'd kill me ].

But like I said before - A man needs to reward himself every once in a while, you know - in order to keep the good fight. Try some of these recipes, I'm sure you are a better cook than me and maybe you could start your own "online cooking class" - I would go, watch.... you know what i mean.
