What you think does matter

Financial success is easier than you think How do we know? For nearly a decade, we attended self-help and personal development seminars AND read all kinds of self-help books, trying to dig ourselves out of a very deep and discouraging financial hole. We prayed for help and tried to do the things we felt God wanted us to do. In fact, we were so committed to figuring out how to change our thinking that we spent grocery money to attend seminars and even put ourselves into debt for it... However, I (Leslie) became so depressed and angry because all we wanted was for me to be able to stay home with the children, and to keep our financial promises on time... but even after all we invested in our learning, nothing really changed. Have you ever felt frustrated and desperate for relief?

For the most part, every one I've spoken to about the stimulus check and what they will do with it, basically have the same response.... They plan to catch up on bills or save it. I myself hope to save it, if I can. So much for stimulating the economy. After all, that's the whole point of this money - the government wants you to spend..... My issue with this is - this is not free money - it's sort of an advance on your next years tax return. Also, I know they said in the news that if only half of the people that receive this stimulus check spend their money - it will improve the economy three or four months later. Or should I say, the results will be seen three or four months later. Great for the presidential candidates and congress who want good news to help themselves get re-elected, but it really doesn't do anything for you and me. Unless the economy improves - all these checks do is give false hope.... So what will you do with your check???

I don't know about this? The Social site thing is getting used for everything now a days.... But I guess if it helps you save money - go for it. Personally I know a lot of other better ways to save money. The question is, "will people go for it"? If millions of americans join a social site that's all about how they can save money - I don't see the attraction...??? Do you know what the economic stimulus really is? You know - That so called money the Gov’nt is giving you... I was talking with my tax people -HR Block guy and the stimulus package came up. He informed me that most people don't realize that - that money they will give you in July - is an advance on your tax rebate next year. So what the government is doing is basically giving you the money you would get at the end of the year - in July. What happens is, people don't realize that it's not free money and when the end of the year comes they get mad when they find out that the usual amount they get every year will be less due to the money they gave you early this year in advance. What burns me, is that they don't tell this to the people and just say - here is money go spend it so the economy [ mostly the rich ] wont collapse. So while people think it’s free money in truth it's not - you better not be counting on your tax refund to bail you out of any year end debts bec
