Double Taxation: Death tax - inheritance tax I have to ask - are you stupid? Forgive me, maybe it is congress and the pro “tax the Rich” yahoos who believe we’re stupid.? I’ve been hearing several commenter’s on TV say that we should tax the rich more because they deserve to pay more. After all, all those greedy rich people can afford it right. Or the woman who made me laugh because she said that "the rich should be taxed more because they have so much money and are sitting home doing nothing and being unproductive". What? Beef Recall?? I love meat, meat is a major part of all my meals. In fact, my daughter tells me we are carnivore [ like dinosaurs ] because we prefer to eat meat all the time. So when I heard about this "beef" meat recall I wanted to know more. What I've learned concerns me more about what happened, how it was handled - more than the possibility of the meat tainted scare did. Consider this: This possible meat that is being recalled - goes as far back as 2006. * so much for quality controls..... Also, most of the meat went to schools. * Our system is so broken that the smallest and most defenseless of our society were in harms way and we didn't know it. Do you know what the economic stimulus really is? You know - That so called money the Gov’nt is giving you... I was talking with my tax people -HR Block guy and the stimulus package came up. He informed me that most people don't realize that - that money they will give you in July - is an advance on your tax rebate next year. So what the government is doing is basically giving you the money you would get at the end of the year - in July. What happens is, people don't realize that it's not free money and when the end of the year comes they get mad when they find out that the usual amount they get every year will be less due to the money they gave you early this year in advance. What burns me, is that they don't tell this to the people and just say - here is money go spend it so the economy [ mostly the rich ] wont collapse.
