Having Thanksgiving early ??? a week early...

What do you do when all the family shows up at your house two weeks before thanksgiving? You have thanksgiving early - really - really early. We had the family from New York come down for two weeks - so we had thanksgiving dinner before they went back to NY. Talk about hecktic - I guess the one good thing is that we may have saved some money on shaopping - supermarkets always hike up the prices before the holidays. We also avoided the mad rush at the stores... but boy, having that many people at your house - way to much work. If I counted right, there were about tweenty people at the house more if I missed some of the kids.... Here take a look: see video

I was made to love you ???

I was made to love you Ever wonder what you were made to do in life? I figured out a long time ago that I have one very important job, position, duty in life - to love my family. Yes there may be the occasional argument. Yes, they can be a chore and a pain - at times [ too many times ]. They can even cause you to wonder why you even bother - but at the end of the day when you put them to bed and all you can think about is how sweet they are and how you can’t help but smile as you watch them sleep peacefully in their bed... You realize - you were made to love them.

In Poor taste - you be the judge

Image
In poor taste? My significant other saw a video clip [ part of a video ] I was creating and said that it was done in “poor taste” on my part. Well, I’ll let you be the judge of the complete work. The goal behind this video was to help me talk about the “Effects Movies can have on children”. You see, we let our kids watch just about anything on TV, videos, internet or in the movies. I don’t mean you personally or I myself - I personally try very hard to shield my kids from a lot of programming on TV. But I will admit that America as a whole - parents don’t really concern themselves with what their kids watch. I also admit that there are times I let them watch things they really shouldn’t. Not because it’s bad but because it can effect them adversely. I know this will sound silly and it’s embarrassing to me - but I a grown adult can’t seem to take a shower or use the bathroom without wondering if someone is just on the other side of that shower curtain. Really, Psycho [ Hitchcock's o

Embarrassing or Just Having Fun

Image
Embarrassing or Just Having Fun in the pool! Now my wife may think this is embarrassing and may be angry with me for showing this video - but I couldn’t help it. Is it wrong to share - is it wrong to video record your family having fun, enjoying themselves? I can’t help but think about how one day, all we will have is our memories of our kids growing up. What better way to preserve those memories than having actual video records of the funny event. My wife might think it’s embarrassing and yes it makes me laugh - but lets be real people... this is what you remember when you grow old. Having fun with your kids and all those funny embarrassing moments. It’s like some of the fun memories we have of our youth - ask my wife what she remembers most about some of her camping trips with her Mom and Dad and she’ll bring up the time her mother fell off the hammock… she said she wish she had captured the moment on film.. So that’s what I’ve done. Having fun in the pool !

Did I see the liitle Mermaid ?

This summer we've had a lot of rain, so when the sun comes out - it doesn't matter whats happening - it's a good time to go swimming. I personally don't like spending to much time in the sun, but you just can't help taking a nice cool dip. Hey, did I just see a mermaid?

4 th of July - hide and seek Mishap ???

Image
Hide and seek - mishap ? Forth of July - happy Birthday America. A wonderful day for a Barbeque, jump in the pool with the kids and then play a little bit of “Hide and Go Seek”. You would think that it would be an easy thing to do - you know, you go and hide and a four year old has to try to find you. Well, it all started fine but it some how got all confusing. I decided to play a little bit of hide and seek with my son - I already had cleaned the pool, mowed the lawn - it was time to have some fun before the barbequing. It started fine, I used the kitchen pantry closet to hide in and after waiting a few minutes I jumped out and scared him [ he was never going to find me - he’s four….. Well it was his turn and he decided to count [ while I went to hide ] in the same pantry closet. He counted up to fourteen before he started guessing at numbers and then it happened. I waited, waited some more and waited even more. I was starting to wonder if he forgot all about finding me. Then I h

I love to bug you

My children love each other - they also love to BUG each other. It’s no lie - they wake up - and ten seconds later, their arguing about something or other. The funny thing is that they can't live without each other. Today, they hijacked my bed and kicked me out. So hear I am awake way to early in the morning and they decide their going to fight about little Isaac breathing to hard. it was bothering her, she [ kiki ] couldn't sleep because her little brother was breathing too hard. hey, what about me.... it's my bed you two guys kicked me out of and I can't sleep because your in MY BED... So I did the next best thing.... I found a couple of videos to distract them while I ran away to find some peace and quite.

I love Video games

Image
I love video games, no really. I love videos games, I’ve always been a fan. I could play for hours and when I was a kid - it was a normal thing for me to play all night in my pursuit to save the princess, destroy the evil monster or capture the prize. There were many a sleepless nights where just me, my game console and several cups of coffee was what I had in the wee hours of the night. I once played “Zelda” for three nights and three days straight. No sleep for me, I was going to save the princess - I did by the way. So what’s my point - Do you want to know why today’s parents love game consoles, why they are willing to pay three hundred dollars or more on a simple game console. Why they do not find it a waste of money to pay $129 dollars for a DS or other hand held game… let me give you a clue: Listen, do you hear that.. The silence .......... I was wondering why the house was so quite. The spouse was taking a nap and the kids - well, not a peep. I thought they were a sleep but when

Late Night TV - oh to be young

Lazy Summer Days I remember when I was a kid I would stay up late watching TV and my mom may have liked it - but hey, there was no school to worry about the next day. Ofcourse my daughter has taken staying up late watching TV to a whole new level. She likes to watch George Lopez - but since they give it at 11 pm, it’s usually out of the question during school time. But the minute school was out she slowly got accustomed to first staying up that late and second - getting comfortable. She’s turned it into an art form - just take a look at the video below… it will explain it all ……

What Else Can Break ... . . ????

Image
5 th Summer Day Things are getting hectic around here, but what can you expect when you have an eleven year old, a four year old and a yapping little dog running around your house. I think I’m going crazy. Today is not a good day. Last month I had a pin hole leak in the pipes and had to break part of the wall to get in there and fix it. Then the next day after that - the garage door “spring” broke. I mean broke, and it cost me almost $150 to get it replaced [ couldn’t do that on my own ]. Well, today the garage door opener broke. The gear inside apparently striped…??? First, I don’t understand why a gear that is used to raise a 200 pound or so garage door would be made of plastic - but it was. And boy did it get eaten up. I thought I could replace it, but once I opened it up - lets just say I don’t have those kinds of skills. So I had to convert the garage door back to opening and locking manually [ you know your lazy when you cringe at just of the thought of opening a door manually ].

3rd day of Summer - BORED ALREADY!!!!

You ever notice - you give your children all the things you never had as a child. You buy game consoles, swing sets, a backyard [ God I lived in a apartment complex - I didn't know people had back yards....]. you have all day cartoon chanels, DVD's coming out of the wazu and board games, radios, and things you can't even mention [ toys invented for this yougn generation ] - you have the internet, social sites dedicated to children. You buy them paint, chalh boards, dry erase boards, remote control cars you name it and what do they say.... dad, I'm bored. There's nothing to do ????????

First Day of no School........

Today is the first official day of Summer here at my house... Why, becuase it's the first day of "NO SCHOOL" for my duaghter. Just take a sneak peek at what we did when she woke up around 9:30 in the morning. Normally she has to get up at 6 am to get ready for school. I thought that it was going to be easier to watch my son now during the summer becuase my duaghter was home and she could help me when needed... but i can't even get her to make me a cup of coffee.... so much for help.....

Chasing the Cheese ???

Chasing cheese down a hill - interesting. You know, when I was trying to figure out what me and the kids could do for fun this long three day week end - chasing cheese down a hill was not one of my ideas. May 27 - The wind and rain didn't stop thousands of people watching the annual cheese roll in Gloucestershire, England. Competitors from around the world flocked to Gloucestershire to take part in a sporting event with a difference, the giant cheese roll. As the cheese rolled down the hill, dozens of people ran, slipped and tumbled after it. Paramedics were on the scene to assist the injured and mud-covered competitors. Cheese rolling is thought to date back centuries. During rationing between 1941 and 1954, the wheel of cheese had to be substituted with a wooden circle containing a token piece of cheese inside.

Giving you the FINGER !

Image
Life can be hard, but for those who really work at it - money and fame can be accomplished. ofcourse with a crazy world like ours, it doesn't take much to get 15 minutes worth of fame. I myself have seen the Indian gentlemen who suffers crucial pain in his arm because his fame is growing his nails to an extremely long length [ creepy]. I've seen the videos of the man that can swallow cue balls and lock and unlock pad locks inside his stomach [ damn, I find it hard just swallowing a pill......] But this man has made his fame and income on the strength of one finger. he can crack open a coconut with his index finger. WOW!

Lisa Nova does 300

This is a sick funny video! I wonder sometimes where people find the time to do these crazy videos, but I'm glad this one was made - I enjoyed it ! Probably better than the movie.... What do you think????

Baby Dropped 15 feet ?? Ritual ???

Image
Well, this one has left me for a loss of words. I can't believe people actually throw thier babies off a fifteen tfeet tall tower as a ritual of health and luck. Waht is more suprissing is the fact that the authorities do nothing about it?? What do you think?????????

Anything today is called "ART"

Are these people sick or what? Has the art world fallen so much that any moron with no talent can come up with a crazy scheem and call it "art"....??? Just thinking of this Lice exhibition is making me scratch my head - no really, I think I cuaght something. Man, i bet if I took a pile of "Dung" [crap ] and smeared it on the wall, someone in this crazy world would call it art and buy it for thousands of dollars [ wait, that's an idea........]
