Silly Kids - Fun Family Stories

Image
Silly Kids - Fun Family Stories Last day of school for Isaac and this day is one of those silly kids day - that will be one of those fun “family story” to remember. My son loves to dance and sing - he pretends he is singing to a large crowd and even plays make believe instruments - so I didn’t find it odd that he was singing songs around the house these last few days. But today at his last day of school they held a play [ sort of ] mostly singing songs…. And my little man was singing loud and proud - check out the video !

The MOM Song

Aw this was so cool - The funny thing is that it's all true and it's everything I hear at my house each and every day .. God children drive you crazy... Thank you, Rick Demeri. for sharing this....

The Wild Luaghing Kid

My duaghter apparently recorded ue having some fun with my son. Yes - I like to toss the boy around. no - it doesn't hurt him. Unlike his mother who believes that I'm going to hurt him some how. Me, I just love to hear him luagh! The Wild Luaghing kid

Riding The Bull - I'm such a loser?

Riding the Bull & the bull won… Ok, So I admit it, it wasn’t a real bull - but a mechanical bull or a real one - I am ashamed to say I failed. I saw the bull ride from more than twenty yards away and I wanted to ride that bad boy. Flashes of all the cow boy movies I’ve ever seen danced thru my head and for a minute - I thought I was going to break the record. I convinced myself that this was my day. I was going to ride the mechanical bull and I was going to be better than everyone else. Yep - me, city slicker turned country boy - today I would ride into county fair history. NOT! When I got to the line and saw what some of the first bull riders had gone thru - flailing around on that mechanical monster - I thought - "is this thing safe"? I noticed how the mechanical bull operator was more gentle on the kids than she was on adults - and again I thought, is this safe? Then I got to the sign up sheet and just before I wrote my name down I read the fine print that was way abov

Wild Christmas party Pt 2

Awe nothing like the holidays and a good old fashion wild Christmas Eve party to get going with the end of the old year and starting the new... You can always tell how your New Years eve party is going to turn out [ good or bad ] by how your Christmas Eve party ends up being. And seeing as how this Christmas Eve party was a wild Hispanic "get down, get down" bash - I expect the New Years Eve party to be a blast... nothing like the holidays..... Party, Party, Party, man I've got to work tommorrow..... grrrr... Oh christmas tree, oh christmas tree, the party was fun but you'll soon be out on the street.... oh christmas tree see you next year at the christmas eve party you'll be.......

The Fear and Joy of being a Dad ?

I've been working on teaching my four year old son how to ride his bike with out the training wheels. Ofcourse his Mom didn't help by putting the training wheels back on the bike - talk about a giant step backwards. This last week I had some time to spend with him and I went thru the process of teaching him from scratch - again..... After I built up his confidence - in that I wouldn't let him fall - I had one single thought in my mind... God I hope he doesn't crash or hit the ground hard ???? I couldn't help but picture him going down in a blaze of glory - blaming me for not stopping him from falling... Maybe it had to do with the fact that I made the same promise to my duaghter a few years back and I couldn't keep it.. She didn't trust me for a while when it came to the bike... Or maybe it was becuase I was holding a video camera - and hey, it would make a good you tube video... if he falls that is [ people love to see others suffer - sick world..] But all

Gummy Bear and My kids - Lord help me ....

Image
Gummy Bear and My kids - Lord help me... I wrote a post a day or two ago about making sure my kids watch intelligent stuff and the challenge I face with them watching what I call ‘dumb programming”. I also wrote about how as parents we have to be diligent protecting our kids from “improper things” on the internet. I was watching TV in the living room and as usual I decided to sneak up on my kids and take a look at what they were doing online. Normally my daughter gets online to play on kid friendly social sites like Penguin. But what really caught my ear was the singing - especially the catchy toon I heard coming from my computer. Like I said - I wish my kids would watch only intelligent programming - but sometimes I even get caught up with some of these catchy silly videos. I’m not happy she was on Youtube but relieved to find her watching this silly Gummy bear video [ it’s had 10,405,136 views ] That didn't stop me from giving her the parential speech....

Dancing to the Hippo dance - Me no I'm an Adult !

Kids are kids and I know from my experiences of my youth that kids are attracted to dumb things. But as a parent, I just wish my kids would do more than watch things like Sponge bob and Some of these dumb silly cartoons. Not that my kinds turn into vegetables or coach potatoes during the summer. My little has done a lot to improve her math skills over this summer - but she seems drawn to [ what I call - dumb cartoons]. I remember when all she watched was animal planet, Emerald Leggasse and other constructive and educational programming. But sometimes - even the kids in me over whelms the adult in me. I walked into my room yesterday and found my daughter and son singing and dancing to this video and I instinctively joined in on the dance craze. I’m such a bad parent….. LOL The Hippo video

Embarrassing or Just Having Fun

Image
Embarrassing or Just Having Fun in the pool! Now my wife may think this is embarrassing and may be angry with me for showing this video - but I couldn’t help it. Is it wrong to share - is it wrong to video record your family having fun, enjoying themselves? I can’t help but think about how one day, all we will have is our memories of our kids growing up. What better way to preserve those memories than having actual video records of the funny event. My wife might think it’s embarrassing and yes it makes me laugh - but lets be real people... this is what you remember when you grow old. Having fun with your kids and all those funny embarrassing moments. It’s like some of the fun memories we have of our youth - ask my wife what she remembers most about some of her camping trips with her Mom and Dad and she’ll bring up the time her mother fell off the hammock… she said she wish she had captured the moment on film.. So that’s what I’ve done. Having fun in the pool !

4 th of July - hide and seek Mishap ???

Image
Hide and seek - mishap ? Forth of July - happy Birthday America. A wonderful day for a Barbeque, jump in the pool with the kids and then play a little bit of “Hide and Go Seek”. You would think that it would be an easy thing to do - you know, you go and hide and a four year old has to try to find you. Well, it all started fine but it some how got all confusing. I decided to play a little bit of hide and seek with my son - I already had cleaned the pool, mowed the lawn - it was time to have some fun before the barbequing. It started fine, I used the kitchen pantry closet to hide in and after waiting a few minutes I jumped out and scared him [ he was never going to find me - he’s four….. Well it was his turn and he decided to count [ while I went to hide ] in the same pantry closet. He counted up to fourteen before he started guessing at numbers and then it happened. I waited, waited some more and waited even more. I was starting to wonder if he forgot all about finding me. Then I h

Chasing the Cheese ???

Chasing cheese down a hill - interesting. You know, when I was trying to figure out what me and the kids could do for fun this long three day week end - chasing cheese down a hill was not one of my ideas. May 27 - The wind and rain didn't stop thousands of people watching the annual cheese roll in Gloucestershire, England. Competitors from around the world flocked to Gloucestershire to take part in a sporting event with a difference, the giant cheese roll. As the cheese rolled down the hill, dozens of people ran, slipped and tumbled after it. Paramedics were on the scene to assist the injured and mud-covered competitors. Cheese rolling is thought to date back centuries. During rationing between 1941 and 1954, the wheel of cheese had to be substituted with a wooden circle containing a token piece of cheese inside.

This is a sick funny video! I wonder sometimes where people find the time to do these crazy videos, but I'm glad this one was made - I enjoyed it ! Probably better than the movie.... What do you think????

Call the Paparazzi Off !!!

Camera’s have a weird effect on people- It doesn’t matter who you are someone always want you to take a photo or a picture. And boy does it take for ever for that right photo. Oh, and God forbid if that video gets on youtube [ call the Paparazzi ]….

1,500 pound Pumkin smashes Bus ?

It’s no wonder other countries think we’re crazy. Half the world including our own country has parts full of starving people - but here in California we have nothing better to do with a 1,500 pound Pumpkin, except smash a school bus with it. Yes you heard me correctly - smash a Bus. It’s amazing, what lengths we will go to waste here it America. But oddly enough, I am kind of amazed that the pumpkin did smash that bus ????

I think I'm growing Dumb ?

I was sitting with my little girl helping her do her home work, it only took a few seconds before I realized that my little girl is realizing I am not the all knowing parent I pretend to be. It’s funny - the fact that things are the same and yet have changed so much. I was helping her with her math and I thought I knew what I was doing until my little girl screamed out “ your doing it wrong…!” She said, “that’s not how my teacher said we have to do it“. After conversing on how her teacher wants it done - I realized that my answer was right but my method was different. So I had to show my little girl that yes it’s important to follow her teachers instructions and learn from her, but never forget - there are others ways and sometimes simpler ways of doing things and getting the right answer.

Serious case of foot fetish

I’ve been robbed several times in my life, and it was part of life because I lived in NY in one of the worst neighborhood around. In all the years I live in New York I was scared of being robbed, mugged, held up, beat up, and so forth ……. But not once did I ever think that a criminal would stop to lick my feet? Yes, lick my feet……… But apparently - I guess if you live long enough your bound to see anything and every thing. This crook apparently had such a bad foot fetish that he just had to stop in a middle of his crime - to lick this ladies feet. Oh please take my wallet and by the way, I didn’t wash my feet today…….

The Baby Diaper Song

I remember I couldn't wait for my children to be potty trained, why - becuase them things are expensive man. And babies run thru'em like water.....
